Want a fun, hands-on way to give back? Volunteer at the Habitat ReStore by helping with donations, organizing inventory, and assisting customers — all while supporting affordable homeownership for families here in the Rogue Valley.

ReStore Volunteer Age Restrictions

Volunteers must be at least 16 years of age and minors must have a parent or guardian present at our orientation to sign a release of liability. 

ReStore Volunteer Opportunities

Our ReStore is a vital part of the Habitat for Humanity model and plays a key role in funding our mission. It also offers our most flexible volunteer opportunities. The ReStore is open Monday–Saturday, 9 AM–5 PM.

 

All court-ordered community service is completed at the ReStore.

Merchandising (Front of Store)

Sort, clean, assemble, and prepare merchandise for pricing.
Stock shelves, maintain a clean workspace, and assist customers and donors.

Donations Team

(Tues, Fri & Sat | 10 AM–4 PM)

Receive and unload donations, move items into the store, prepare merchandise for pricing, stock sales areas, and help load purchased items into customer vehicles. Maintain a clean and organized dock and sales floor.

Skills:

  • Comfortable working with the public

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy items (using hand trucks/dollies)

  • Familiarity with simple tools

Cashier

Greet customers, operate the register and card machine, answer phones, maintain the checkout area, and assist with merchandise processing.

 

Requirements:

  • 100 volunteer hours with Rogue Valley Habitat

  • Must be 18 years or older

  • Enjoy working with the public

Cleaning Volunteer

Help keep the ReStore welcoming and organized by sweeping the sales floor, entry, and sidewalk; washing windows; cleaning bathrooms and the volunteer break area; washing dishes; and tidying merchandise and displays. Assist customers and donors as needed.

 

Skills:

  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds

Appliance Inspector

Test donated appliances, assess and describe their condition, then price and place them on the sales floor.

 

Skills:

  • Familiarity with household appliances and ability to test basic functions

  • Ability to move appliances using hand trucks and dollies
