Rogue Valley Habitat for Humanity was founded in 1987, serving Jackson County. Our mission is to eliminate substandard housing by partnering with low-income families living in substandard conditions. We are a Christian based, volunteer driven non profit housing ministry that is committed to eliminating poverty housing here in the Rogue Valley. We partner with our families by building them a simple, decent, affordable home with a 30-year no interest loan. Since our start, we have built 37 homes with 197 familiy members, 122 of whom are children in Jackson County.
There is a great need for homes here in our very own community. Fact: 22% of children under the age of 18 in Jackson County are living in poverty. Rogue Valley families who live in substandard housing have to make tough decisions every day. Rent can consume as much as 70% of monthly income, forcing families to choose between food, medications, clothes, or other basic necessities. The thought of even the smalles of luxuries that the rest of us often take for granted, such as a birthday gift, becomes just a dream.
Habitat for Humanity provides the opportunity of homeownership to families in our community. Our homes are built using a large amount of volunteer labor, donated funds, and materials. The homes are sold at affordable prices to qualifying low income families.

Join Rogue Valley Habitat as we welcome our newest homeowners, The Benton Family! James, seen in the picture above, along with his siblings, Joseph, Joselyn, & Jaden will now have a safe environment to live and grow in.
